In 2014, the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) introduced the Voucher for Technical Assistance (VTA) to help small businesses develop their operations to improve their creditworthiness. This is in keeping with the DBJ’s mission to provide opportunities to all Jamaicans to improve their quality of life through development financing and capacity building.

The VTA Programme provides partial grants to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that operate specifically in the productive sectors. These businesses may receive a VTA grant to be used to access business support services provided by DBJ-approved Business Development Organizations. The voucher covers up to 70% of the cost of specific services and ranges from J$50,000 to J$200,000. (Visit our website, www.dbjvoucher.com for more details).
