The Development Bank of Jamaica as approved KCDI Jamaica as one of its Business Development Organization (BDO)

KCDI Jamaica partnered with the Development Bank of Jamaica, (DBJ) as a Business Development Organization (BDO) to provide advisory services to assist MSMEs in accessing critical business development services. KCDI Jamaica main responsibilities will be to conduct assessment to identify the services required to improve the MSMEs operations.
In 2014, the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) introduced the Voucher for Technical Assistance (VTA) to help small businesses develop their operations to improve their creditworthiness. This is in keeping with the DBJ’s mission to provide opportunities to all Jamaicans to improve their quality of life through development financing and capacity building.

The VTA Programme provides partial grants to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that operate specifically in the productive sectors. These businesses may receive a VTA grant to be used to access business support services provided by DBJ-approved Business Development Organizations. The voucher covers up to 70% of the cost of specific services and ranges from J$50,000 to J$200,000. (Visit our website, www.dbjvoucher.com for more details).

In February 2022 KCDI Jamaica signed an MOU with the DBJ allowing KCDI Jamaica to become an approved Business Development Organization (BDO). Registered  MSEs can access the following services from KCDI Jamaica . Website Development, Agro-proces and Farm Management Consultation, capacity Building training.
